Seeing UFOs with night vision goggles ?

UFO researcher Ed Grimsley was joined by technology analyst Charles Ostman to discuss incredible UFO sightings and battles seen using night vision goggles. "They're so unbelievable that I want the world to know they're there and I want the world to see the truth," said Grimsley, who introduced Ostman to the concept of using night vision goggles to spot UFOs.
Ostman described his own night vision UFO sighting, recounting three craft flying in formation, tailed by two craft that cris-crossed behind them, eventually forming a five object cluster. The objects, he said, were "round, hard-edged, metallic looking things" that cruised across the sky in a little over two seconds. Ostman asserted that without the goggles, he "wouldn't have seen anything at all."

This guy is a nut case. Admin go and buy yourself a pair of Gen.3 Nightvision goggles - go outside after sundown and watch the UFO battles (these are bats!!!!)

i just went out with my night vision, and saw a bat fly by, nothing like what they are seeing and recording. there is a big difference. i will admit, i didn't see anything moving up there other than stationary stars. non the less, the bat was deffinately destinguishable, and resembled nothing like what they are seeing and recording....

Mr.Grimsley needs serious help. This man actually believes he can see UFO's at war through his night vision binoculars and now radio talk show host George Noory claims to have seen two UFO's for the first time in his life while using Ed Grimsley's night vision equipment. I feel sorry for these little brains. Wake up and smell the coffee George and Ed. There is no such reality as aliens from outer space and you surely aren't watching them at war. Ed, Please think about selling your night vision stuff and use the proceeds for a good Psychiatrist and take Noory with you.

Ahh, anonymous poster 6:05, you wonderful disinfo agent you :)

I was skeptical too until Coast to Coast host George Noory claimed he saw some... Bit the bullet and bought a pair of generation 3 goggles. They are the coolest things ever! I've seen huge formations of objects cross the sky at incredible altitude then vanish out into space. Other objects look like satellites but start wobbling and then vanish into space as well.

sean said...

yeah me and my buddy see these things alot outside of chicago with a gen 3 night vision.... there is no way that these objects could be a plane, satellite, or bird.....but they look bad ass

Brian said...

Yeah, well I think the formation could have possibly been a flock of geese really far away lol. But I have seen stuff change course in midflight and get brighter and dimmer sometimes a flash of light off them. Also distant flashes that are not rhythmic almost like stuff blowing up way out in space. No definate UFO wars to report though.

you gota keep goin out and look because it took me 5 seperate times looking to finnaly see them

Guys and Girls, Everything is made out of Star Dust. We are Star Children. Of course there are UFOs. Buts that is just the beginning of the New Frontier. Would you like to see UFOs? You can with third generation Night Vision Goggles. There are probably astronomical numbers of different craft just like different Star Systems, and different races. I have seen about 10 different type raft out there. I have had about 100 sightings this past year. We never get skunked when looking. So get hold of some third generation night vision and find out what we are talking about first hand. About seven out of ten people exclaim "Holly Shit" when they see their first sightings.

Think it over. Anyone who claims to be Anonymous and debunks another is an agent or an idiot, or both. I have worked with Ed Grimsley out of Monterey, California since October of 2007. I do the radio program The Quantum Leap Saturday at 9pm on www.krxa540.com Call me and lets have a real discussion about the real experiences we have had.
A quick UFO over view: There are bats, birds, geese, moths and everything else out at night. You can see these with Night Vision goggles. Also, there are things you cannot see or normally don't see. Third generation "electronic imaging" night vision goggles do the following: 1. They read a very large spectrum of light both above and below our limited ability to see with our own eyes. 2. Night vision translates these readings into images which can be seen in the spectrum of our eye sight. 3. They create an image that is like twilight, but also enhance the objects they pick up that are moving. 4. Depending on the model of goggle they do many other enhancements for our seeing what we normally cannot. Call me any time at 831 383-2676 Bob Oliver at [email protected]. And consider this: "If you can see UFOs with third generation Night Vision Goggles, then everything else is a lie". Welcome to the Final Frontier - TRUTH. Find out more about 911 Truth.

Well as of late I haven't seen a whole lot up there. Though I do live in Seattle and it's quite often overcast. The objects that get brighter then dim out (with occasional flashes) could be space debris revolving and hitting the sunlight. Some of them appear to change course but not drastically, possibly it is due to the curvature of orbit.

The formations of objects I've seen could possibly be geese or ducks at a very high altitude (but seem a bit too fast) though no wings were visible and I have no zoom feature.

Recently I saw an object become intensely bright then rapidly fade out into nothing - though it (like pretty much everything I've seen) maintained a straight course but seemed to move much faster then any satellite I've seen.

Still no battles or anything I could definitely say "yes those are intelligently controlled craft". I have heard UFO's tend to be seen more often in certain regions of the Earth and can only say what I have seen in the Seattle, Snoqualmie and Westport areas of Washington state.

Shooting stars and other celestial objects look amazing with these devices but I will caution one - they are expensive and you should really be an avid seeker of the truth if you wish to purchase a pair (and get ready for a sore neck looking upward for long periods of time).

Brian said...

Oh yeah, one can also sometimes see flashes like a camera going off way out there - meteors exploding? Not sure... several times I saw distant flashes occuring randomly in certain areas of the sky though no visible moving objects - maybe they are taking the action out beyond visible range, who knows? It's fun to look though :)

I'm a soldier who has spent countless hours doing overwatch and surveillance using military grade NVGs and often times my eyes wandered from the objective to the beautiful skies above. The first thing you notice is how many more thousands of stars there are in the sky that are not visible to the naked eye. Then you began to notice other peculiar things which happen in the night sky. Satellites and shooting stars are the norm, but stars that change position, wobble, or shoot off into the sky start to get your attention. I've also saw shooting stars turn at right angles and perform other curious maneuvers. I turned to my spotter and he nodded to me as if to say, "Yeah, I saw it." I've always been a believer, but i'll never forget the feel of dread and helplessness that overcame me. I went from being a soldier to feeling like a goldfish in a bowl. I pray that those contraptions belong to us. If not, we are not at the top of the food chain like we believe to be and our arrogance blinds us.

I recently acquired a pair of Gen.3 night vision goggles and have used them at several locations in the U.S., a few times in Ariz., Calif., and Colo. but more recently in western WI. At first I didn't see too much except maybe a satellite or two but the last few nights I have seen anywhere from about 10 - 20 objects moving across the sky in about an hour, usually about 9:00 to 10:00 PM. These look like a moving star, some rather bright, others quite dim. They do not have discernable blinking lights like an airplane should have but maybe they are too high to see the blinking. Airplanes are usually easy to spot because of their blinking lights, associated noise, and often vapor trails that sometimes can be seen even if you can't hear them. Flocks of geese, bats, and other night flying birds are also usually easily identifiable by the way they appear and act.

Interestingly, about two-thirds of the objects I see are moving south to north or slightly northwest. Speeds seem to vary somewhat but usually appear to be rather constant for any one object. So far I have not seen any of them stop and start up again or suddenly change direction, as I did while using somebody else's goggles in Nevada. I often see two objects moving in my field of view at the same time, sometimes in the same direction, sometimes not.

My concern is whether I am watching very high-flying airliners, or perhaps military craft, 35,000-39,000 ft. or more, that may be high enough to still be reflecting sunlight at my location at that time of the evening. In checking airline flight paths between cities like Chicago, St. Louis, or Atlanta and say, Tokyo, their transcontinental routes take them generally over my location or slightly to the west. Most S>N objects travel almost directly overhead or slightly to the west of my location. When it warms up a little more I will go out and check like at midnight or 2:00 AM and see if I still see as much activity. I would like to compare notes with anyone else making similar observations with night vision goggles.

michaelmaniotis said...

My natural inclination is to ask: since there probably is something up there moving around that does not conform to usual flying objects, why not use a high powered scope, or some other scientific method, to examine it more clearly? It seems that its enough to just make a statement and walk away without any accountability. I'm afraid we mostly go from ufo site to ufo site hoping someone will have done the work. There are enough of us for a buck each to fund some of these serious studies ourselves, but alas its easy just to be an observer.

Brian said...

Lou, most of the moving objects I see are going north or northwest as well. These I believe are polar orbiting satellites but there sure are alot of them! One every minute or two.

Last night listened to Dean Warsing (check out his site UFOnightshift.com) and while listening saw an tiny object blinking randomly do some obvious direction changes then vanish! Then saw something glow brilliantly then fade out while staying motionless in the sky.

My theory on the flashing phenomena - notice the Billy Meier footage how the saucer wobbles as it flys. Some objects flash repetitively and may be spinning pieces of debris. But most seems to have a random flash which could be explained by a curved surface reflecting sunlight as it wobbles - floating on the gravity waves of our planet apparently. A distant boat's windows will display a very similar phenomena on a sunny day at the ocean.

To Brian and others:
I went out again the other evening and in about an hour saw nearly 20 objects. I even saw four in the sky at one time, a couple moving in roughly the same direction (north) and the other two in different directions.

However, I am now convinced that 99.99+++ percent of what we are seeing with the NV goggles are either earth-orbiting satellites or large pieces of space junk. According to the article "Collision Course" by G.H. Reynolds in the July 2009 issue of Popular Mechanics, (which I just by chance bought to read) there are about 3,000 satellites and an estimated 16,000 pieces of space junk orbiting around up there. After visiting a satellite-tracking site on the Internet, I had thought maybe 200-300 satellites - but 3,000, wow! It's no wonder one sees one every few minutes. I think any aliens would be crazy to fly into our earth's satellite orbit zone and have to avoid all that stuff.

I agree completely with Brian's explanation of the changing light intensity seen with some of the objects. Some of the satellites rotate in a programmed manner and have shiny solar panels or surfaces that periodically catch and reflect sunlight. Some objects tumble and may reflect light more haphazardly. I did go out one night between 1:30 and 2:00 AM and saw nothing which would be consistent with most orbiting objects being in the earth's shadow at that time and not reflecting light. Any object seen then would have to be very far away or have it's own light source, like the blinking lights of an airplane, which one sees rather frequently.

However, one does see some strange things with the NV goggles. I have often seen the very, very brief flashes of light that just seem to come from out of nowhere in the sky. There is nothing else, just a brief pinpoint flash of light. One night I saw a very fast-moving and relatively bright object traversing from west to east and crossing the whole visible sky in maybe 5-10 seconds. It wasn't a meteor because it was leaving no trail behind and stayed at the same level of brightness the entire time. Another time I saw just these rather frequent flashes of light apparently being emitted by a fast-moving object traveling in a straight line but having nothing visible between the flashes. Twice I have seen two objects rather close together, traveling at the same speed, and in the same direction, but I suppose those could be satellites. I am also amazed at how often one sees a meteor blazing down with a glowing trail behind it.

The first time I looked for objects in the sky through a pair of NV goggles, I thought I saw one stop and then start up again and a few minutes later I really thought I saw one going south that turned around and headed back north again. However, that was my first experience with them and my eyes may have been deceiving me. Then too, it wasn't all that far from Area 51 and who knows what one might see in the night sky in that part of the country!

I'll still keep an eye out for objects that change direction, fly together in formation, hover, etc but I'm not holding my breath. Those NV goggles are awesome, however! NVGlou

Brian said...

Yeah Lou I think pretty much most of whats moving up there (thats not an obvious bird, plane etc.) is satellites and space debris. Though I too have seen a couple incredibly fast objects which give off flashes but no tail or anything to indicate a meteor. They seem to be metallic to give off those reflective looking flashes - but how could space debris attain such velocity?

On July 2 saw one, then suddenly two - then three objects that moved about satellite speed to the E-SE. They had exactly the same speed and trajectory and maintain the same shape triangle I was able to watch them for quite a while slowly fading into the distance. Bizarre! :)

Skywatching is a fun hobby there's usually something to look at but those really interesting objects are few and far between I'm afraid.

I also like to take my goggles into a wetland by my house in Seattle where there are elevated walkways you can ride your bike on as bats circle and sometimes fly right on in front of you! Very cool with the IR beam on give it a try! Also seen beaver and otter - didn't know these animals are nocturnal.

Brian said...

Oh one other thing, the flashing pinpoints of light - if you see one keep looking in that area. On a few occasions I've seen more flashes in the same location, sometimes pretty rapidly - but not in the exact spot which might indicate a quasar or something like that. Almost like a battle going on way out in space.

Anonymous said...

Cummon guys, any slightly advanced alien race would know through simple intelthat we use IR not only in every military unit but also regular citizens use it as well. Would be a FAIL if their cloaking didn't protect against IR.

I believe they are our ships, and the "battles" are simply war games, which explains why there are no crashed from these supposed epic battles in space lol

I would like to address the 13,000 pieces of space junk topic. Just think about how much area there is in the space that exists from Low earth Orbit out to geosynchronous orbit!!! 13,000 pieces of something in that amount of space is nothing!

When you are looking into space from earth, you are just seeing a tiny slice.

Picture 13,000 cars on the freeway in LA.; that's just one little space relative to the amount of space in space...

Now, obviously, most of what is seen with the night vision goggles is space junk, airplanes, birds, bats, etc.

However, I have seen a couple of videos that can not be explained to my satisfaction with conventional explanations. (I hate to be redundant in that sentence, but I drew a blank and can't think of a better way to say it!)

Saw a flickering object tonight come from the south and end up traveling out of sight to the east! No noise so aircraft is ruled out.

I could see no solid object - just random flickers emanating from a point that moved steadily. I believe Lou described a similar object. Have to definitely file that one under UFO as it did not maintain a straight course. What is was and what type of propulsion it used is quite beyond me.

The tiny objects flying in formation which I cannot say for sure aren't birds have been captured by someone on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XevJR7biQE8

This footage seems to rule out birds due to their extreme speed. Also he is able to zoom in and no flapping wings are visible (have to get an HD cam). There are flocks of birds that travel at high altitude so be aware of that when skywatching. However they do not fly in tight V formation at what appears to be mach speed.

Everyone have a happy New Year with lots of fantastic UFO sightings. Hopefully they are on our side!

NVGlou said...

The V-shaped formations in one of the U-Tube videos referred to by Brian do look to me to be geese flying at a high altitude, probably several hundred feet. In one case there appeared to be another flock nearby that broke away and went off in a different direction. I have observed a couple of formations of geese maintain a tight pattern like that seen in the video. From the video, I could not judge the speed, and if they are really high up, it is difficult to see the flapping of wings.

Keep watching, guys!

I have observed geese flying in formations that looked exactly like that one does.

True it could be birds, I don't think geese because they have a large visible wingspan and don't seem to fly this fast... maybe ducks?

Who knows... that's why I don't file these guys under "for sure UFO". The "for sure's" are not too many - maybe only a handful of sightings.

Kinda crazy but I've been paddleboarding at night with these things in the lake here(haven't fallen yet but they can supposedly take a quick dunk). Fun to watch the raccoons along the water drop whatever they are doing and stare dumbfounded as you glide by.

I'm gonna get my entertainment value out of them even if I don't ever see a real life space battle lol.

can someone shoot some video through the lens of a night vision goggles and post it to Youtube so that we can rule out people making it all up.

GAlexander said...

Why is it that all these ufo stories are always on these "crazy" sites and never main stream. Why is it that all pictures and videos of ufos are always cloudy blurry cant quite make it out type of image? If somethign can be seen using night vision goggles, why aren't all the astrology people out there seeing these things? Sure some guy onhere says go out and get your 3rd generation goggles, umm there like over a a grand to buy good ones like 1500 -3000$ yeah no thanx. More then likely this whole thing is a marketing tool to sell the dam goggles. Ed sells them on his site along with the videos! if he wanted to show the world at least the videos would be free. I'm not saying aliens don't exist in fact I'm a believer in aliens but skeptical of this. When somebody has a product to sell, your being sold a product. If you have to spend money theres marketing involved. When theres marketing involved, its there to maximize sales. Just keep all that in mind when you rush out to buy your 3000$ "ufo seeing glasses".

INSECTS. And that is also what YOU are seeing.

listen you people OBVIOUSLY have not looked at the shapes closely in the gen. 3 night vision... if you follow the shapes closely you see a disk shaped object with the inner part of it being a darker disk than the outer... I don't believe in aliens but I DO believe our government tries to hide things from us and I kid you not it is an intense sight to see (you have to follow the shapes flying about to get a good look at them

Anonymous said...

Maybe someone is fortunate enough to see an object at a sufficiently close range to be able to see inner and outer parts of a disk; however, everything I see looks only like a spot or dot of light, some are quite bright but many are very faint because they are so far out or perhaps very small. They are always moving in a straight line and at the same speed. I usually can see 20-25 per hour around 9:00 to 10:00 PM, sometimes up to three or four in the sky at the same time. Most travel pretty much north or south but occasionally there will be one or two going east or west or at a diagonal somewhere.

My take on this is that they are satellites because there are 3,000 of them up there, or possibly larger pieces of space junk because there are 16,000 or more pieces of that up there.

I am still seeing the occasional very brief pinpoint flashes of light that just seem to appear at random. I have no idea what that might be unless they are pulsar stars but I am not sure how many of those one would normally have a chance to see.

I told Ed Grimsley's sidekick last year that all I was seeing were satellites or space junk because it always traveled in a straight line and at a constant speed. He told me I had to try and communicate telepathically with them or signal them with a laser when I saw them and they would respond to me in some way. So far no luck with that approach!

I have been at a sky watch with Dean Warsing and Joshua P. Warren in WNC and was amazed and ended up buying a pair of 3rd generation PVS7 night vision goggles from their site - www.paratemporal.com - to any of you who think these are bugs, is 20 degrees out tonight and watched several objects stop remain stationary and then become bright and move quickly into space. Are some nights much more active then others, but even night vision astronomy is amazing. No these objects that change course are not bugs, bats or birds ... and they sure are not planes. Until you tried and experienced this you need not comment.

Who needs the night vision, I had a black triangle fly over my SUV on a secluded highway in Illinois earler in 2011. It was only 100 ft over the road flying perpendicular. I had pulled off the side of the road as I saw lights coming over the trees low and I thought a plane was coming in for a crash landing. The craft had unusual lights (not the typical red/green stobes) and no fuselage. I lowered the window and as it flew over I looked up only to hear no noise at all and estimated it was only flying about 40 mph. This appears to be the same type craft spotted by law enforcement a few years ago in the same region. I suspect reverse engineering or the real thing. Its only a matter of time before we all know, I just hope we all don't panic and see our society collapse. Remember we sent Voyager out in the 1970s,we put a message on the craft telling anyone who found it who and where we were....

All I can say is yes we are conciousness that is held "captive" within the body. I've been fortunate to have had some OBE's (just around my house) which proved this to me. There are some people who claim to have visited other dimensions where ET-like beings existed while out of body (or on drugs like DMT). So they may not have to travel through space to reach us. I really like Robert Monroe's work on this type of stuff - especially The Ultimate Journey (which we are all on). Best of luck with your journey everyone!

no such thing as aliens? there's billions of stars, each being a sun at the center of a solar system. our sun is a red dwarf, meaning it's a smaller star. larger stars could potentially have tons more planets than our solar system. all a planet needs to be inhabitable is to be the right distance from the star for life to grow. I like how you claim, with absolutism, that aliens don't exist, when we know so little of the universe. have some faith in possibility and likelihood, you just might find life a little more exciting

Anonymous said...

all they do is pick up ambient light from the moon and stars and increase it by 5000 to 10000 times. I'm in the military and I work with NVGs on a daily basis. they do NOT pick up frequencies that we cannot see, the only enhance what visible light there is. if you take a red or blue lens flashlight, and look around with it with and without the NVGs, you'll notice a huge difference. we use the PVS-7. amazing technology, there are no limits to our mission parameters at night.

Also would you like to explain animal mutilation in any detail? Do some homework on that, guarantee if you search enough you will find the best explanation is extraterrestrials. It's incredibly nieve to think we are the only living intelligent beings. Our own genes were manipulated by the Grey's, our brain did not triple in size via evolution, and our speech was apparently a gift from the (gods) ie Extraterrestrials as god don't exist. People often say why would they come all that way across the galaxy, well Wtf are we always trying to do! The same thing, explore! I viewed a little over 100 in a two hour span with Mr. Grimsley. Some were chasing each other, others floated across the sky, some wobbled across the sky. There were 5 of us viewing the same things. Then, there was an instance where something went so fast, my brain and eye coordination were not in synch. But, I knew I had seen something cross, just couldn't say what. Ed suggested it was not unusual and had some project name, I forget. I was not the first to witness that.

UFOs are not impossible to see with the naked eye. I saw some above Disney in Anaheim a few yrs ago. I originally thought it was a satellite but when in hung a tight U-turn, I realized it was an exotic piece of equipment. Nothing like any of the Fighters I had seen before.
