Strange thing on TV during the Columbia Disaster

I can't remember if this was some type of debris but does anyone remember seeing this object on tv during the columbia disater?

I don't remember seeing this live but I have seen this video before. It is almost the same as an object described by people that was flying along side the Shuttle before it came down.

That's probably debris that's out of focus. when you get stuff out of focus they take the shape of the shutter. That is a fact. Check the camera type that was filming and the type of shutter. you will learn that this is the case.

That's not quite right. A shutter flare, or reflection can take a diamond shape but will also match the movement of the camera and not appear stationary as the camera pans. Also, the diamond shaped reflections have no detail and usually appear to be a bright yellow to orange in appearance. The object in question here shares little in common with a shutter reflection. If you want to see what one of these reflections look like, just peruse the UFO pictures and videos around the net and look for a glowing yellow/orange, almost perfectly shaped diamond with no detail, and more than likely you'll be looking at one.
