Ex governor Fife Symington - more happened behind the scenes

As you may know Fife Symington is the ex governor of Arizona who dismissed the famous phoenix lights back in 1997 to quell public panic at the time and then shocked everyone ten years later when he came forward on CNN in 2007 saying the lights were infact Ufos.

It may come as a surprise that back in 1997 only a few months later after these sightings he was forced to resign by the US government as he faced criminal charges towards the end of his term as governor.

Although its difficult to draw any connections, his 7 year legal battle with the US government only ended in 2001 after president Clinton quashed the convictions and it seemed like there was a witchhunt by the US government to convict him and discredit his character for some reason.  Could this be because of a behind the scenes disagreement and battle over disclosure about the phoenix lights at the time? Did the government want him to stay quite ... I'll let you join the dots.

Mr Symington  has come forward recently with a new website  this month to reveal his side of the story.  He quotes on the front page :

"There has been a great deal of misinformation as to what happened before, during and after his term as Governor. Link"

Most surprisingly you can see the links to "The truth about former Arizona Governor Fife Symington" aren't working on his website - they have infact been deleted and this is a very strange co-incidence. Is there something they still don't want us to know? ...

Here's some further  information:
Just months after the March 1997 phoenix lights Mr Symington was forced to resign by the US federal government who pursued him for 7 years until President Clinton quashed his legal battle...

Symington was indicted on charges of extortion, making false financial statements, and of bank fraud. He was convicted of bank fraud in 1997As Arizona state law does not allow convicted felons to hold office, Symington resigned his office on September 5, 1997.

This conviction, however, was overturned in 1999 by the ;Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Six days into jury deliberations, the trial judge had granted the government's motion to dismiss a juror because she was leaning toward acquittal and the other jurors complained that she was keeping them from reaching a unanimous verdict. The appeals court ruled that the dismissal violated Symington's right to a fair trial. He was subsequently pardoned by >President Clinton; near the end of his presidency in January 2001. The pardon terminated the federal government's seven year battle with the former governor.
Fife comes forward in 2007 explaining why he covered up the 1997 Phoenix lights:

From his site - the Phoenix lights:
Ten years after the Arizona UFO incident known as the “Phoenix Lights,” former Arizona Republican Governor Fife Symington, III, now says that he himself was a witness to one of the strange unidentified flying objects, even though he originally did not say so publicly.

“It was enormous and inexplicable,” he said in an exclusive interview from his home in Phoenix. “Who knows where it came from? A lot of people saw it, and I saw it too.”

On March 13, 1997, during Symington’s second term as Governor, thousands saw multiple triangular and V-shaped craft, gliding slowly and silently across the sky for half an hour beginning at approximately 8:15 pm. Awestruck witnesses, throughout the state, estimated that the eerie, lighted vehicles were bigger than many football fields, up to a mile long.

Arizona Senator John McCain, a friend of Symington’s who the former Governor describes as “open-minded,” acknowledged at a 2000 press conference that lights were seen over Arizona. “That has never been fully explained. But I have to tell you that I do not have any evidence whatsoever of aliens or UFOs,” he said.

The evidence for a possible UFO, which simply means something in the sky that can’t be identified, lies in the fact that countless witnesses reported seeing low, gigantic, technological flying machines that blocked out the stars - not merely lights. Now the former Governor attests to that.

www.fifesymington.com is registered by an anonymous registration service (domainsbyproxy.com). I would be surprised if Mr Symington is personally involved. the site looks like it's been made by a 13-year-old.

The hard, undeniable fact is, Fife Symington is a convicted criminal, who used obviously means of corruption to get pardonned by Bill Clinton. Shall we believe such a person? No, we shouldn't. Particularly, since the guy has nothing to tell us of importance. He is simply a traitor, who made public classified military exercises over Phoenix in 1997. Particularly, since it's a rather big step from military flares to a football field sized 'craft'.

Fife Symington has no criminal record. And thr military itself said they were flares!! So how does it make him a traitor for repeating this? BTW mile wide craft pal!!!

It is my understanding that the phoenix lights were not the main event. That phoenix lights were put there as a distraction. This distraction worked very well.
