Ufos vs chinese lanterns

Of the large volume of ufo videos submitted in im seriously having issues finding some good ones that are not obviously Chinese lanterns. The trouble is some triangular ufo shapes for have 3 orbs in formation but some argue 3 laterns could simply be tied together to make this formation. I would like your feedback on this dilema.
Like this formation over Burgos, Spain spains on the 1st Jan 2012 - are they lanterns in formation?

The Chinese lantern thing drives me crazy also.If there is three of anything in the sky of course they are going to form a triangle. And then people say,oh they just disappeared. They don't disappear they run out of fuel and burn out.Not everything in the sky is a ufo.

Chinese lanterns do not need to be tied together to form a triangle. All you have to do is let them go at around the same time and of course if there are 3 of them they are going to form a triangle.

Even if they could be tied together you'd still have slack in a string or rope that would cause the lanterns to float out of triangular formations. I can see how a lantern can be confusing by itself, but for the lanterns to retain that triangle shape would be next to impossible.

If it looks like a possible lantern case, it probably is... I agree that you should filter most if not all those videos out. I for one cannot stand the "triangle" UFO videos that show nothing but 3 small dots in the sky... It seems now that any 3 dots in any shape or form automatically = TRIANGLE.

Obviously lanterns. you can see the top swaying in the wind, the lights flicker like fire, and they do not change direction.

Given the general new year mayhem, I'd go for lanterns. The 'formation' seems to change anyway, so I doubt it's one object or three tied together. Happy 2012 - I'm sure lots of good sightings and reports will be coming our way! :)

I'd say yes Lanterns in formation. You can see them wobbling on the top side. They look a lot like lanterns!

They look alot like lanterns to me!! You can see they are wobbling on the top-side. Back and forth on the top side. Lantern likelihood 90%

seems kind of silly to buy into the ambiguity now that there is irrefutable proof not only of non-conventional craft in the skies, but also of federal government knowledge. Done and dusted...

Now we get to find out who are the disinfo agents. That should be fun.

Well, here is a thought about your dilemma.....If the lights that are being observed, are too faraway to be recognized as Chinese lanterns,
and are in a triangular formation,
then it could be considered, that the lights are not Chinese lanterns
that are tied together holding a triangular shape, because the triangular framework, would need to be huge,I mean very big! to maintain the size of the triangle shape at the distance we are looking at,and also this would surely add extra weight to the lanterns that supposedly would be expected to lift this weight.
Would not the lanterns need to be much larger to hold that extra load?...and also, if one lantern was to go out then I think we would be looking at a Roman candle with the other two.:)

Distance = "the size veiwed"!?

I would think that Chinese lanterns
that were tied together on a triangular frame, would appear close together...at a distance, NOT far apart, as seen!?

Yes many do look like Chinese lanterns. However the amount of triangle shaped sightings around the world is enormous. So much so that it rules out the possibility of them all being lanterns.

Plus we can trace these types of sightings all the way back to the Belgian UFO Wave (1989 - 1990). Also Phoenix lights. And let's not forget the MJ 12 Army SOD manual and the triangle shaped drawing of a triangular craft.

The other factor that rules out lanterns tied together is the risk of it entangling on something in a well populated area.

I personally think there's more going on than just Chinese lanterns.

I am the owner of the video. Originally uploaded to my account, in HD and with some slow motion scenes:

As you can observe when i maximize the image, it seems to be a lantern, with the fire on the bottom and the rest of the lantern around it.

one thing i would like to bring up is their brightness. i dont know what lights people put into them but i am thinking it would take a really strong light source to glow so intense that you cant make out the frame of the lantern itself, or even glow at all, during the day time.
so my suggestion would be to focus the study on daytime orbs which may sooner or later help with the shots during night time.
but it would be good to have some illumination pro look at the footage.
