This is a developing story here.. would like to hear from people in this region near the lake - if you know more please about this sighting let realufos know and reply to this post.

VANCOUVER -- Reports have been flying in of an unidentified flying object hovering over Cultus Lake in Chilliwack, B.C. on Tuesday night.

The story broke on The Fox's Jeff O'Neil Show Wednesday morning during their Open Phones segment.

'Dallas' called into the show to report that his girlfriend spotted some eerie lights flooding the pitch-black sky .

"At around 2 a.m., she saw some crazy-ass lights hovering over the lake," Captain Scotty of the Jeff O'Neil Show recalled to The Sun.

I thought I noticed something odd with a really bright object in the eastern south sky towards Chilliwack," said Alick. "I thought at first it was a star or satellite but it was way too big and way too bright and it moved too fast and steady to be a helicopter spotlight.

Scientist reported large triangle UFO blocked out stars

Great review of a triangle Ufo case MUFON case here by the Examiner:
(oh if you have time check out how many images there are of triangle Ufos are out there on google, its interesting the large amount of footage now caught of these triangle craft)

A California scientist and licensed pilot reports a silent, "triangular, delta-shaped pattern of four lights" that blocked out the stars on June 13, 2009, as it passed overhead, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

"It crossed from the zenith to the local skyline which here is about 30 degrees up or so as we are at the bottom of a hill where it passed out of view," the witness stated. "It flew much faster than the large jetliners which fly a similar approach path into San Jose."

The sighting was most unusual due to the silence.

"What really struck me about it was that it was absolutely silent, meaning it would have had to be extremely high or if a low flying aircraft be extremely quiet."

The witness tried to rule out other man made objects.

"If it was a formation of low earth orbiting satellites it was remarkable in the fact that it would have that particular arrangement, and it shouldn't have blocked out the stars. If it was some sort of experimental airship, I imagine it should be much noisier if it was flying low enough to appear that large and move that rapidly. It did not appear to display any other unusual characteristics other than it's apparent size and rapidity, nor did it deviate from an apparently straight flight path."

The actual Mufon report:
I was lying on a bench outside of my house waiting to go out with some friends. I noticed a triangular delta shaped pattern of four lights approximately 5 degrees or so in apparent size passing overhead at the zenith. I didn't have much time to think about it but I believe that it blocked out the stars as it passed by. I watched the pattern fly along it's symmetry axis extremely rapidly. It crossed from the zenith to the local skyline which here is about 30 degrees up or so as we are at the bottom of a hill where it passed out of view. It flew much faster than the large jetliners which fly a similar approach path into San Jose.

This was my first and only UFO experience. As a professional scientist, a longtime amateur astronomer, and licensed pilot, I honestly never expected to see one. I remember being unnerved enough by it's appearance that I stood up and watched it as it flew, thinking that finally, I had seen something that had at least the tiniest possibility of being extraterrestrial. I remember a feeling of awe, humility, and curiosity at the same time. Although to this day I don't know what I saw, it gives me hope that the truth *might* be out there, after all.
