It was way ahead of its time. Sadly, the master copies of this film and the two which followed it have been lost to the ravages of time. Only one VHS copy of it survived; so Channel 9 gave us permission to convert it to digital video in an effort to preserve it as an archive for the use of posterity. Hi Guys, this is confusing - as you know the ufo hunters now which aired this week on both Sci Fi and the history channel, but apparently they were different versions?. Both networks aimed ride upon the huge growing public interest of ufos since the stephenville ufo event last month and to hook audiences into their reality ufo series.

Infact so much so both the History Channel and Sci Fi Channel aired their UFO Hunters programs in advance this week. Both networks' UFO Hunters reality series-- which were previously scheduled to premiere Wednesday, February 6 at 10PM ET/PT -- debutted on Wednesday, January 30 at 10PM ET/PT.

The History Channel's UFO Hunters followed a team from UFO Magazine investigating the UFO cases in North America and Europe while Sci Fi Channel's UFO Hunters followed a team from the New York Strange Phenomena Investigators organization investigating their own set of UFO cases (previous post).

Just some warning about the 5 tonne satellite that is coming done - not on my house thanks!

The US military is developing contingency plans for a large spy satellite which could hit North America when it falls to Earth in late February or early March.
Air Force General Gene Renuart, who heads of US Northern Command, said the size of the satellite suggested some pieces would not burn up as it re-entered the atmosphere, and would hit the ground.

"... we know there is at least some percentage (of the satellite) that could land on ground as opposed to in the water," Renuart said.The spy satellite was launched in December 2006 but almost immediately lost power and cannot be controlled.It carries a sophisticated and secret imaging sensor but the satellite's central computer failed shortly after launch, a US official said. Renuart said it appeared the satellite might re-enter "into the North American area".
