Everyone knows about the reported recovery of a crashed alien spaceship near Roswell, New Mexico in July 1947. However, most people are unaware that, at the time of the incident, Roswell Army Airfield was home to the world's only atomic bomber squadron, the 509th Bomb Group. Was this merely a coincidence? At least three people in Waterville Maine saw exactly the same thing. We are an hour's drive from the coast. I do not believe it was trailings from a rocket. There was no movement of the bright object. No sound. The bright rays came down, went back up and the bright object quickly faded out, in a minute or less.
It might have been a coordinated exercise using military drones--but I have never seen anything like this. It was beautiful but unsettleing.
My brother and I both engineers observed exactly what the folks in Maine saw, however we are near Scranton, PA. NASA claims it was the Black Briant XII, something I find difficult to digest. Since whe does Nasa launch on Sunday evenings? Also this object never moved, remained stationary and made no sound. The perfectly cloudless sky yielded no vapor trail nor carbon burn. I am afraid NASA saw the exact same phenomenon and quickly came up with the Black Briant XII story. For your information that rocket is stil being built! Nice try NASA!

This was a Black Project, called Delta-J. Further information is not avaiable until the year 2020.
I saw the same things that the others saw. I saw it from the catskills in central NY. I was looking to the west and saw a cone shaped object that seemed to be illuminated. I then saw a very concentrated light coming from the bottom of this object and the light seemed to "fan" out. The object remained stationary and then after about 20-30 seconds the object dissapeared but left a luminating cloud of mist after. The mist remained for another 45-60 seconds as it dissapated. It was not rocket.
Good! interesting, relevant AND up to date :) well done!!
On Saturday night around 10:15 PM I was outside looking up at the stars when I caught some high speed movement out of the corner of my eye. I had enough time to notice the trajectory which was, from my point of view, now behind a tree in my backyard. It wasn't bright, it had a glow, and it seemed to travel extremely fast. My first instinct was that it was a shooting star, but I focused on the other side of the tree, trying to predict the trajectory, thinking: if its a shooting star then nothing should come out the other side of the tree. Within seconds out came two objects moving at a high speed, they were traveling across the sky and slightly away from me. At this point I was able to focus and follow them for about two seconds until they disappeared behind a building. Their shape was hard to make out, maybe round to egg shaped, and they were moving independently of each other, kind of bobbing and weaving around each other. They appeared to be under intelligent control, kind of like they were having fun going fast. The only thing I could compared it to were two skiers carving down a mountain, except these object were obviously moving across the sky and their "carving was in all directions. They didn't have lights, but they were clearly visible, like a glow from a glow in the dark frisbee or something but not the same greenish glow, they were pale white. No sound, no discharge of any sort. Without knowing exactly how big they were, altitude was difficult to asses but they were definitely within the atmosphere and low on the horizon. I was never a believer, but I have never ruled out the possibility of life outside of our planet. I am educated and consider myself fairly intelligent and objective. I am a scientist and it is in my nature to question things and there have been many time where I have thought I've seen something but eventually been able to explain them. I saw UFO's. By definition, I could not identify the flying objects I clearly observed, if they were from this world then someone must have invented the fastest, quietest, most maneuverable, aircraft I have ever seen and I would want one of my own. I am from the Boston area.
Bullshit! This wasn't a rocket! I saw while at Big-E (Massachusetts) and it didn't dispersed like that missile did. It was stationery and then it suddenly disappeared. I thought it was a spotlight from the events but if people in North Carolina seen it, it DEFINITELY wasn't a damn spotlight. And spotlights beams aren't upside down.
I live in central Massachusetts, and on this Saturday night I was out in Sturbridge with my friend. We were right near I-84, and I noticed a disc of light in the sky. I thought at first it must be a searchlight attached to a helicopter... but I heard no helicopter, as the object hovered in the sky above. The most peculiar thing is the nature of the light the source shot down. It was clearly visible, the whole cone of the light. It wasn't foggy that night, so it wasn't due to normal diffraction.
Strangest of all is this... we turned a corner and I noticed the light source had vanished, but the light cone it had been casting down was still visible! As we drove closer to it, it looked like the light was being blown away and dissipated in the wind. I'm really glad I found this post because I was beginning to think I was crazy.
i live in holyoke massachusetts and i was at a party in the woods and everybody that was there saw it. everyone in my town is talking about it. i wonder if it has anythng to do with the unidentified creature found in panama on september 18th. who knows??? its pretty scary if you think about it. aliens!!!
I saw this as well, I am in Hudson Mass and saw it with my husband and 2 other family members. The light was extremely bright and got brighter and brighter and then the beam came down in the shape of a cylinder The wierd thing is that the bright light on the top disappeared first and then the cylinder slowly faded away. It was the strangest thing I have ever seen. There was no noise and no other objects around it.
I did not see this "UFO," but it was reported in my newspaper in Clinton, Massachusetts (buried on page 6 as unimportant!). Here is what was written in the paper: "...Both the Clinton and Sterling police recorded complaints Saturday night about an unidentified flying object over their towns...I turned my back just in time to see other people say, 'Oh, my God, a UFO...' In Clinton a resident reported at 8:19 p.m. a 'cone-shaped light that came down from the sky in the area toward the reservoir (Wachusett Reservoir) or Oak Street, according to the police report. The woman who called said 'there was a silver round top object above the light and the light was there for about 10 minutes, then the object took off straight up in the sky.' Police searched the area for the UFO, but gave up at 9:14 p.m., according to the log. In Sterling, unknown lights were reported near Chace Hill Road at 8:01 p.m., but nothing was found. According to Channel 5 (Boston) news reports, dozens of people on the east coast reported strange lights following a 7:46 p.m. NASA rocket launch in Virginia."
I saw this with over 10 of my friends on that very night, in Central PA. We all looked up and saw this inverted cone light up, and a triangular beam of light spread underneath it. Then, after (just estimating here) 30 seconds, the beam slowly faded, along with the UFO. Very strange! Whatever is captured in this video is definitely the same thing I saw.
I work for NASA and helped launch the BlackBrant XII rocket which caused the strange light that was seen in the eastern sky Saturday night, September 19th. While I can understand how this could be interpreted differently by those not involved in the project, I can assure you that it was not a UFO (and I believe in UFO's!)
Sorry to pop your UFO bubble - keep searching!
I'm in Virginia outside Washington DC. I also saw this object and have a hard time accepting NASA's explanation.
The reason I'm having a hard time excepting the rocket theory is because where I saw the object in the sky.
The object was due East of my position in the vicinity of Washington DC. NASA said the rocket was launched from the Wallops Island Launch facility, which is located on Virginia's Eastern shore. If this was the case, this means NASA would have had to launch the rocket to fly directly over Washington DC, which is the most protected airspace in the World. I don't feel it's likely that NASA would take a chance of flying directly over our Capitol City nor would it ever be approved.
This is my problem with NASA's explanation.
I also saw this in Valhalla, New York and I still do not believe it was a rocket. It appeared to be stationary and their were spotlights coming down from it. I could not see the actual object, but the lights were not what you would see coming out of any kind of rocket that I have ever seen before. I agree with another comment that there was no apparent vapor trail.
I was in the Allegheny Mountains camping with about 30 family members. I know they said it was a rocket to measure clouds however I remember telling my sister that the sky was CRYSTAL CLEAR you could see a million stars. I also have watched our rockets take odd at NASA it would have been out of the atmosphere and there is no way it could stand still and then just zip off. We still chat about that night. I know what I saw. Plus there was a lady in Ohio that had really good footage of what she was seeing up close. It has been removed. I cant find it anywhere. The weird thing is that most of the accounts have been extremely similar. I saw the UFO on September 19 2009! lol
Me and several members of my ship saw this. We were docked in Castleton on the Hudson and this strange very bright intense light came down from the sky to the ground and was perfectly straight, like someone turned on a flashlight from the clouds to the ground. We watched it and then it disappeared like someone turned off the flashlight. This was no rocket launch.
