NASA asked about Planet X at the NEOWISE conference 29th September

Sept. 29, 2011. NASA makes a conference for updating information about the database of near-Earth asteroids in our solar system, tracked by Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) telescope.

The NEOWISE project is highly important in protecting and warning earth about Near Earth Objects such as asteroids which may be on a future collision course with the planet.

The second part of the conference takes an interesting turn when they take phone calls and someone asks about Planet X aka NIBIRU. If you fast forward the below video to about 4.13 you can listen to the question and the interesting response.

The caller asks Amy Mainzer from JPL who is head of the NEOWISE project (asteroid-hunting part of the WISE mission) about planet X. She responds by saying there isn't anything hazardous out there but " if there is, it would be a large body in a roughly circular orbit" - she is then pushed by the caller again and she comments the object of concern may be a brown dwarf star but these stars are not in the vicinity of our solar system (yet). Amy obviously knows a bit more then she's letting on here - is a brown dwarf star heading our way? it would be good to hear her a detailed response from her...

Would like to hear your comments and take on the interview:

Amy Mainzer is reminiscent of the actor Jodie Foster from the movie Contact, both good looking and intelligent. Amy is an American astronomer at JPL specializing in astrophysical instrumentation and infrared astronomy. She is the Deputy Project Scientist for the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer and the Principal Investigator for the NEOWISE project to study minor planets

Facts from the NEOWISE conference to note:

Nasa Jet Propulsion Laboratory said Thursday it has pinpointed 90 percent of the asteroids that could pose a threat to Earth.

The mission, managed by JPL, says all of the mapped asteroids are 3,300 feet wide or larger. The asteroids were mapped by a spacecraft called WISE that so far has discovered 911 of the 981 largest threats predicted by models.
"NEOWISE allowed us to take a look at a more representative slice of the near-Earth asteroid numbers and make better estimates about the whole population," Amy Mainzer, the lead author of the new study and principal investigator for the NEOWISE project, told NASA.

I cant really see why that response is interesting in any way, in relation too a possible planet X??

All i heard, was what could be expected from those people.
