If its not someone's After Effects project, then we have a true mystery. What is obvious is that there's no way anyone can call this Chinese lantern.

Airplanes with landing lights on

In 2010 I flew from LAX to San Diego about 11 p.m. in a "puddle jumper" with two seats on either side of the aisle. On the port side of the aircraft were two of these exact same glowing balls about the same altitude as our aircraft. Most were sleeping on the flight but my wife and I saw it along with another guy. Still haunts me to this day. I was seated on the starboard side of the craft or I would have filmed it with my phone. I just didn't want to look like an idiot and reaching over others. I should have asked the pilot after the flight what he thought they were. It was pretty crazy. I would say we say them about half way through the short flight. I suspected it was flares or something from Camp Pendleton, but who knows exactly where we were and these things were completely stationary for 5-10 minutes. They didn't flicker or move a bit. Couldn't be flares in my opinion, not even close.

This isn't AfterEffects. The lens flare/motion blur combination is much cleaner & more obviously computer generated. What i'm getting at is a combination lens flare, zoom & motion blur wouldn't look anything like this if done in aftereffects. I'm not even going to justify Mr. "Airplanes w/landing lights on" w/a reply, because it's a ridiculous explanation. I've also witnessed this very same pattern of lights, although it's behavior was much more obviously ET when i saw them. This's also very similar to what the 1997 Phoenix lights eyewitnesses described. I believe this is real
