Bright lights over Madrid spain 10th September 2011
It may be a glider - the reader who sent this in reminds us that no sound was hear however as this craft flew above.

A glider - at night? Don't think so. It's a plane, a long way away from the viewer and probably flying under noise abatement - hence no sound.
Yeah looks like normal airplane lights to me too.
It's amazing how many people have never seen a plane at night.

I also in Spain, in the Balearic Islands, and saw an unidentified object around 1am on 10th September. It looked like a normal shooting star however halfway across the sky, it literally stopped, and then bounced to the left and to the right for about 2-3seconds, then shot off again in a straight line. The object looked like a glowing ball or firefly - the impossibly sharp movement left then right, was amazing. I know separate people in my area also spotted this one.
