HQ Apollo 11 tapes now confirmed by NASA

As previously mentioned the missing high definition moon landing tapes have been found by NASA. This has now been confirmed by NASA in an official statement this month.

I find the whole idea of the most important videos ever filmed going 'missing' for 40 years just ridiculous and must be treated as highly suspicious.
This means they have had over 40 years to manipulate with these high quality tapes. Its quite convenient i must say for them to be released just now:

Rumors have been flying around the Internet for weeks that NASA, after years of searching, had discovered the original recordings of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin's lunar excursion — which the space agency once feared had been accidentally destroyed.

The tapes had been found in a storage facility in the basement of a building on a university campus in Perth, Australia.

Monday's statement appeared to confirm that report, stating that the footage comes from what is "believed to be the best available broadcast-format copies of the lunar excursion, some of which had been locked away for nearly 40 years."

Back on July 20, 1969, the raw video feed from the moon was beamed to the Parkes Observatory radio telescope in southeastern Australia, as well as two other radio telescopes in Australia and California. The feed was then compressed and sent to Mission Control in Houston.

Because of 'technical issues', NASA's images couldn't be fed directly to the American TV networks.

I don't know if I would cry conspiracy yet. They had to bounce the signal from Australia through some analog lines. Future missions were of a much better quality and in color due to advances. I think you'll find that this isn't a tree worth barking up.

I advise anyone that is interested in Apollo to watch the movie "The Dish". while it is a light comedy, it is based on fact and is quite interesting.

If they do not let third parties in on the development and processing techniques, we still have no idea if they will be tampered with before they go public.
