Apparently UFO researcher Jeff Ritzman and a video effects technician are currently reviewing this footage to validate its authenticity. Already they noted that they could see a faint outline - possibly indicating they object is solid object and not a formation of jets!
This footage is very shocking indeed and is most likely not a conventional aircraft. The girls seem genuinely shocked - their langage is quite colourful, which is not an uncommon reaction when people see a ufo for the first time! I have to admit this is very cool footage..
I don't know what this is, and I don't know much about jets.. but the lights resember a delta formation of jets don't they? Y'know.. they form a "V" but there's always a jet that is offset somewhat.. that being the light we see slightly ahead of the "V" of lights...
Anyway, just a suggestion. I hope there's more to it!
I can see this maybe being a formation of jets. except aren't there a few lights per jet? This shows one big light per jet. unless it's really high and the lights are all blending together or something.
Ok Diana Blackburn is a prpfessional photographer and is into hangliding and parashooting - maybe she steup a nite time hanglider with lights on it? - i meana hangglider is in a V shape?

This is not a fake, i have witnessed something very similar twice in the past six years in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, near the coast. just as recently as 9pm Oct. 31st 2008 (yes Halloween night, while cleaning up our kids decorations). Two crafts, flying staggard one behind the other. No, I had nothing to drink, and I'm a very credible witness. By the time I was able to locate my nearest camera and shoot a still photo, the night sky was too dark for the settings, a slow shutter speed revealed nothing in my photos. While searching the internet... this is 99.9% similar to what I saw too.
I was with a large group of friends on halloween night outside in the streets in Manhattan Beach on October 31st around 9 or 10 PM observing the two UFOs the above poster refers to. We didn't have a camera with us capable of taking pictures of them, but it was two circle-shaped crafts with lights only on the bottom, circling each other, spiraling downward, and performing incredible high-speed maneuvers such as climbing faster than I've ever seen any plane do it. I was one of the few sober ones that night and it seems everyone else just thought it was funny and I'm sure gave the sighting no further though. It would be great to get more info since this was a very visible sighting and I'm sure more people must have seen it, but given the day it was on feel understandably quite reluctant to openly discuss it. Ok this is for the disbelievers- On Nov 14 2008 a year almost to the day after the Blackburn video, my family and I saw this SAME exact craft in the Los Angeles area heading north following the same path apparently, as the one the girls saw in this video. There were dozens of reports along with a news story in San Francisco that night. Here is a report of some of the sightings...

What we saw was a solid object, hundreds of feet across, and silent. We are serious, professional people with no agenda. These girls are young, and sound hysterical on the tape, but I can testify that I (along with my family) did see the very same huge craft with the red strobing lights flying over Los Angeles.
