UFOs Spotted at Myrtle Beach, SC, Pilot Says - October 19, 2011

Myrtle Beach Ufo news report:

"MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) -- Myrtle Beach business owner Gary Travis doesn't know what he saw off shore one night. But as an experienced pilot, he knew he wasn't looking at an airplane.

"I'd never seen anything like it," says Travis, "Not in my experience."

Travis shot video of a series of bright orange lights littering the sky. At first he thought they were landing lights, but then they started moving all over the place.

"These lights seem to snap on and off like someone flipped a switch. I even saw them rotate around each other and that's not going to happen on an airplane."

Reports of UFO sightings like these are reported fairly frequently in the Grand Strand area. Local paranormal investigators say it's exciting to check out each claim, but they have to use a healthy dose of skepticism in their investigation.

"The first thing is credibility," says EJ Lukacs of the Athena Research Group. He and his wife, Rebeccah investigate paranormal activity on the Grand Strand. "You need to look at the caller. What are they saying? What are they claiming?" Source

Play X-files theme, make a joke about it, rinse repeat til it blows over; meanwhile that pilot's wondering why the fuck no1 is taking him seriously even though he has video evidence of aircraft he A PILOT, is certain isn't ordinary/typical. Same old same old "nothing to see here. It's NOT a UFO" bull-shit from the government controlled media.

The lights are always w a y of f in the distance. Yet no one is ever close to the lights or under the lights. No one ever calls some one they know that lives under the lights to take pictures.

[No one ever calls some one they know that lives under lights to take pictures].....

I have often thought that, as well!
but I think perhaps, this all takes place a bit TOO quickly!

There will NEVER be indisputable video evidence of a truly otherworldly UFO unless it comes directly from NASA (or another government agency) & is verified to be authentic by an official source; EVEN THEN it will probably be mercilessly disputed. NASA has already released several pieces of video that show objects performing maneuvers that defy the laws of physics, & if you read the comments sections of said videos it's disputed until it's either looked over, or forgotten. For whatever reason, we live in a world where people feel obligated to dismiss & debate evidence of ANYTHING they themselves haven't experienced or they don't fully understand, & i think it all stems from fear embedded w/in our DNA over lifetimes of reinforced negative judgement/dismissal. Even when PILOTS capture evidence, it's treated as a joke by the media & people question their judgement. The pilot who documented this stated these lights behaved abnormal in relation to any aircraft he has seen in his 40 YEARS of experience as a pilot, yet it's still being disputed here. Until the media & scientific community converge to recognize these UFOs as legitimate SCIENTIFIC phenomena, we will NEVER have smoking gun evidence, because society doesn't trust the judgement of the average person enough to commit to the idea that it isn't a trick/hoax, it's not military aircraft (or some other misidentified aircraft), or naturally occurring earthly phenomena, even though (for the most part) the majority of the people who seriously study & document these phenomena, or even the average person just filming something odd in the sky, are rational individuals of sound-mind & logic who can be trusted, & have the ability to differentiate (via research & comprehensive study) something normal, from something paranormal.

Hear-Hear Michael!!...BRAVO!!

I couldn't have said better myself!

We can talk until the cows come home, but official "Disclosure" stands quietly in the corner waiting for something major to happen.

Maybe, next year mmm 2012...?

I happened to see a strange object in the sky over manhattan this same night. I only saw one light, but it move back and forth slowly, then flew away at a great speed

My family has a house on the coast 35 minutes north of Myrtle and we have seen the orange lights three times this summer within a 9:45pm to 10:30pm window. They usually are accompanied by these little white flashy lights that skip across the sky. The orange can appear and go out like a light switch and move great distances in a short amount of time. Sometimes they form a triangle, sometimes they form right beside one another sometimes they flash on and off in a moving line then show back up in their starting area( a significant distance) in right at or less than a second. Once you see them you'll know they are not airplanes or helicopters

I've seen those lights early morn in Myrtle Beach and 11/1/11 @ appx 6:15am the 3 lights joined together and then shot off at a high rate of speed leaving a short trail of white light before disappearing altogether only to show up far off in the distance once again but as a single pulsating orangish red light. These lights skip, pulsate move erratically, yet sometimes just skim along. Thought I was seeing things until I came accross this blog.

I was in MB with my wife in Oct 2008. We both definitely saw the same lights over the ocean in the early evening. Three to four, spaced equadistant from each other at about 30 degrees above the horizon. Other people saw them too, and we shared what we had seen. The lights vanished within a few minutes, 3-5 max. No camera, unfortunately. We did not imagine it, yet no reports on local news later that night or the following day.
