UFOs Spotted Over Allentown Pennsylvania Dec. 5, 2011

Calling in readers from Pennsylvania - we would like to know if anyone also spotted a ufo in the skies over the last week as mentioned in the below news report - please let us know.
"A handful of people have reported seeing something strange in the skies in Lehigh County.
A man says he and his family were leaving Sam's Club in Hanover Township Sunday evening when they spotted something overhead.
He says it looked like three gray, circular objects flying in a single line.
The objects traveled across the sky before switching directions and disappearing into the distance.

I don't understand this at all either. Usually the media's reluctant to cover any story regarding UFOs w/out making a complete joke out of it (X-files theme in the background, w/pics from sci-fi movies of little green men shown every 5 secs) much less a story that doesn't even have video evidence correlating the sighting; what gives? I wonder if this's the 1st step towards gradually preparing the public towards disclosure? It's a small, relatively insignificant step, but it's better than nothing

I actually live here in Allentown and the objects were later identified as lanterns.

Fingers crossed, Michael!

I've seen them every night for over a week. The first night (Nov. 29, 2011) I saw six in one night and ever since then I've been seeing them every night.

Oh they're always lanterns, flares, or planes. I don't doubt that something weird was going on in the sky, & then "lanterns" were the official explanation given, however i doubt they were actually lanterns. Anytime there's an 'official' explanation given, i automatically assume it's a flat out lie because 85% of the time, the government/government controlled just flat out lies to us. Either way, my optimism concerning this news report is now depleted

The explanation is Flying Lanterns? That itself would be amazing. What kind of naive person would believe that as the truth?

I live in Lancaster PA which is about two hours from allentown and I saw strange lights in the sky that night as well. My wife thought it was a plane but it stopped and started up again at what appeared to be a very high speed. The strange thing is when i looked at it through my telescope it reflected all kinds of light making it impossible to get a good look.

Did you all not read the article from mcall.com????

"...co-worker of his told him she lit and launched nine sky lanterns into the air around 5 p.m. Sunday while visiting her "pappy's grave"..."

I guess if you're truly naive than you would believe this person is lying and that there are actually aliens that traveled light years away to visit allentown pa.. haha wtf

1st of all, I don't see the word 'alien' mentioned at any point, by any1 other than you; it could be any # of things, however Chinese Lanterns are usually a go-to cop-out explanation from the media, therefore i don't believe it, especially when you factor in lanterns aren't visible for miles around, nor do they stay in the sky for several hours which's the documented length throughout the course of the amt. of time these sightings took place. 2nd of all, it's been scientifically proven that space travel is possible through worm-holes, so traveling "light-years" is no longer the most logical method that an advanced race of beings would find suitable to visit our little blue marble in the ocean of existence that is the universe. Lastly, You don't know what's possible, & if you claim you do KNOW, w/out any shadow of a doubt what is possible/impossible, then you my friend are the only 1 here who's "truly naive"

@Michael: First of all, I don’t care if no one used the word “alien” because you and I both know that’s the underlying reason we come to this site. So please save yourself the effort.

“it's been scientifically proven that space travel is possible through worm-holes” – lol ok. I hope your loosely using the term ‘scientifically proven’.

If you think that the media, especially in this small city, covered this up by using a false statement from a fictional person who claimed responsibility for it, than you are seriously delusional and paranoid.

I’m in the same spot as you, I’m always looking for answers and I certainly don’t know everything (or proclaim that I do). I’m not even here to argue with you. But you need realize what a logical explanation is and stop thinking that EVERYTHING is a conspiracy.

Yes, it has in-fact been proven that wormholes (or the Einstien-Rosenbergh bridge) can exist via connections between black-holes w/in the universe, & theoretically they could be used as short-cuts to travel throughout space & time. It's even theoretically possible to construct traversable wormholes at any starting point connected to any ending point anywhere w/in the universe, although we don't currently posses the technological capability.
YOU may be here looking for aliens, however i'm intelligent enough to understand that all UFOs are not of ET origin. The array of reasons for the media/government controlled media has to cover-up a mass UFO sighting range anywhere from wanting to keep testing of an experimental aircraft under wraps, to an experiment gone awry, to an enemy aircraft spotted entering US airspace, & so-on. You're right, it COULD be that an alien aircraft(s) spotted, however ETs aren't the only 1's responsible for generating a UFO sighting.
Our (the US) government lies about everything! That's not conspiracy, that's a proven staple of the US governmental process throughout history. If there were a test of an experimental aircraft spotted, or an unknown aircraft entering US airspace, OF COURSE the US government would inform the media to release a bogus story (such as lanterns, flares, etc.), because the sheeple will eat it up like fresh corn, A. Because there's no real evidence to dispute it, other than the ramblings of crazy UFO nuts who'll swear up-&-down that it WAS NOT LANTERNS, or some grainy, shaky, inconsistent video footage, & B. They have all the power of control in manipulating the story however they like. You can look back on the Phoenix Lights of 1997 (for example) if you think i'm full of shit, or conspiratorial in my logic. Just look at the comment section of the video; 1 person's stated "I've seen them every night for over a week. The first night (Nov. 29, 2011) I saw six in one night and ever since then I've been seeing them every night." Does that sound like Chinese Lanterns to you?
If you aren't aware of the government's continued, habitual use of these misdirection & misinformation tactics intended to misdirect the general public & manipulate the consensus belief for the purpose of whatever agenda they may have, you can look back on EVERY SINGLE TIME A POLITICIAN'S EVER OPENED HIS MOUTH THROUGHOUT HISTORY for validation of my "conspiracy theory" claims.

January 12 2012 at 1:00 am. My husband was standing outside on the patio and started to hear a light humming sound. He looked for an airplane or helicopter to only see one small object moving very slow. He came and got me out of bed and I looked at it to see it was going fast and a weired flying pattern then in front of our eyes it abhors up and starts flickering then disappears. We don't know were it went and we continued to look but never saw it again . In Antioch California [email protected]
