I live in the SoFL area and no, nothing on the news about this. At least not to my knowledge unless it ended up on Telemundo or something lol
On January 23, 2013 I went outside around 9:15 PM EST to see Messier 82, a supernova that was supposed to be visible in Ursa Major. It was cold for Miami, and there was something wrong with the lenses of my late mother-in-laws binoculars. I decided to look at what I thought was Jupiter when I saw what I thought was a meteor, moving North to South. It had no tail, and upon closer inspection, it appeared to be an amber-orange, illuminated triangular shape that moved quickly, smoothly, and absolutely silently across the sky until it was past my field of vision. It was a for me, an Unidentified Flying Object!
