McPhearson UFO Tape is a fake right?
I usually steer clear of such controversial videos to prevent the degradation of this blog - But this is still highly controversial to this day guys so i decided to post anyways, my opinion is it is most likely be fake but controversy still surrounds it, what do you think?. The U.S. Government claims its a hoax and some say apparently it has attempted to ban this footage.

Is the Mcphearson tape different from - the Inident at Lake County TV movie ?
Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County is a hoax documentary shown on the UPN network in 1998. Directed by Dean Alioto, the film portrays a family named the McPhersons being abducted by extra-terrestrials. The entire incident was filmed on a home video camera and intended to convince the viewer that it was a film of actual events.
When this film was revealed to be fictional it sparked resentment in the UFO and alien abduction communities.
Some evidence that this video (shown on the UPN network) was a work of fiction:
* all characters have actors credited in playing them.
* said actors have rather extensive resumes of their acting work.
* no documented case of a McPherson family turning up missing in Lake County.
* the four aliens have actor credits.
* in the scenes where the McPherson boys are running from aliens, the camera is tracking smoothly along the ground.

I remember seeing half of that TV movie, isn't it supposed to be a recreation of this original video?
Yes you're right. It's not a recreation thought, it's a remake by the same producer.

I don't see anything controversial about this video, its totally fake.We know the name of the cast and the director.The oldest & youngest brothers in it were in stargate sg1.I think you should remove this from your blog. Its also because of stuff like this that ufology is often ridiculed.
I think the FEDS must have gotten to him.
Such a silly, nonsensical video this one. Absolutely fake. The woman is smiling while screaming, the aliens are lined up like children in a school drama.
I think I saw one of the aliens at Taco Bell. He told me the video is real.

You guys can say it's acting all day long and keep the mob mentality in the posts, which is what you want obviously. I find it hard to believe that a hoaxed video would be so "obscure". Hoaxers like attention. Especially the really good ones. If it was a hoax, why is this video so hard to find? Why aren't the hoaxers publicizing it more? and why haven't they come forward to get credit after more than 20 years? HA!
There was a remake done of the actual footage. Yes, and with a real director and real live actors. But, everyone must of "ACTUAL FOOTAGE".

my husband saw the original video and at the end there is no credits then when he went to go try to find another copy to show he friends their was no copy and "no one knew what he was talking about"
I am trying to obtain a copy of the original but I can't find it. Maybe because it has been intentionally suppressed.
In the original the acting seems genuine but in the remake it is really awful.
It could be that the remake was funded by the govt. to smear the original.

I'm sorry to burst the bubble of any believers of this video, but I happen to be the mother of one of the "aliens" that acted in that movie, UFO Abduction, directed by Dean Alioto. It was made about 20 years ago in the mountains of Santa Cruz, California. My daughter is now married and ready to have an "alien" of her own. My name is Kathe Gogolewski, my daughter is Rose McGuire, and one other alien was Virginia Kleker.
such terible- TERRIBLE acting in this video even when they are at the table for thanksgiving and the man has the candle and says "i cant do this." HOW MOVIE LIKE IS THAT! and the part when tommy is in his room and sees an alien, How can you just stand still and look at it. so stupid.

Anonymous If the McPhearson UFO is fake then prove it, otherwise just dont said things that you don't know, for all of you that UFO is fake, show me a proof, show a proof to the world that alien does not exist.
I have seen the original real footage. In total there are 3 videos. The original video then two remakes. The remakes are absolutely horrible however the real original video is footage of a real extra terrestrial contact and abduction.
In the real footage the boy holding the camera heads upstairs at the end, enters a small bedroom and then an gray alien comes in behind him, grabs the camera from the boy then turns it to the boy who is completely frozen with fear (the boy is the only family member in the room, all the rest had been taken. Another part that happens in the real footage is the family members get strange red dots on thier backs. There has been a huge cover-up. The Mcpherson family (if that's their real name) DID get abducted by extra terrestrial beings and that abduction DID get caught on video. I have been searching for the video for a long time now and still cannot find it. They did a very thorough job of getting rid of that footage (at least from the internet) I saw the footage on television in 1993.
I remember watching this "original" McPherson video when I was about seven years old. Well, I had recently spotted an unidentified object in the night sky two weeks ago and had rekindled the interest and memory of the Mcpherson tape. I just watched the two remakes and they are exaggerated by far. The make up on the more recent remakes is absolutely horrid. In the original tape, the extra terrestrials were so well defined that I without a doubt, believe that What I had witnessed on "fox" tv and not upn, was real. I am determined to find that original tape, and yes, it is very strange that this footage would plainly disappear.

Its totally fake movie. That family is not acting like abductees. Many abductees dont remember what happened and i dont think alliens make those noises when walking on the roof. One thing I didnt really like is the racism that is shown in the movie. I dont like how the black is treated. That made me very sad.

You obviously have.not seen the original film! The orginal film was totally diffrent than the ones that a lot of people are talking about on here.there was' nt even a black in the "real" original! The people in the original where totally out of control mentally and physically. I saw the televised virsions and they where a joke. The original now it was quite shocking.
Yes the 1998 UPN movie is a huge Fake! That being said it was supposedly produced as a remake from the original from 1989. The director was the same for both. What's odd is that the 1989 supposedly cost $6500 to make and the 1998 cost 1 million. The 1989 looked much more convincing, the actors deserve awards or was the 1989 a real video. The government pays some crappy young director to take ownership of the 1989 video and pays him to do a remake as disinformation. I'll let you decide. I'm looking for someone who has done a real investigation. If I can't , I guess I can do it myself.
Do you guys not understand that the ORIGINAL tape has been seized? All you see now are remake fakes BUT they are based on an actual event that has been supressed. Dang there are some slow to get it folks out there!
Yes they took it I seen the real one look believe half what u see and half what u hear cover up these people in those real picture are gone still
If you saw what was shown on TV in early 1998. I hope you taped it. And I hope you don't show it on line. Because it will be gone the next day. Most people are confused by the fakes of today. And think what was shown in 98 was fake. If it was why is it gone from the face of the public???
