I am desperate for comments from anyone in Newfoundland who may have witnessed the event or taken photos so please respond if you know any more about this.
France had just tested an M51 missile from a submarine based in the Atlantic Ocean near France had Burin Penninsula residents wondering if that is the source of the object captured by Stewart's camera. The Canadian government has said no missile tests were conducted Monday near Canada by any nation, including Canada.
Now the Prime Minister has been drawn in:
The canadian Prime Minister Office says there is no evidence of anyone firing a rocket near Newfoundland's southern coast, despite reports of a flaming unidentified object shooting through the sky in Harbour Mille on Monday.
"There is no indication that there was ever a rocket launch," Dimitri Soudas, a spokesman for Prime Minister Stephen Harper, said Thursday in an email.
Gerry Byrne, the MP for Humber-St. Barbe-Baie Verte, said Thursday he had received no further information on the missile-like objects seen earlier this week."The objective here should be to dispel rumours and conspiracy theories," he said from Corner Brook, N.L.
"It's not making any sense and nobody's providing any real answers, so questions are mounting."

Guarenteed, it was a mis-fire from a submarine. Who?, we'll possibly never know. why?, probably, a test fire. Just no one wants to own up to it, because if it was another nation, then they are well beyond their bounds and well in Canadian waters. does this mean we have a possible unknown war going on? or was this a simple hoaks. We the people want answers. not " I guess it was" or " I think it was".
