A biased look at the phoenix lights Ufo sighting from 1997

The national geographic channel as usual does a biased skeptic based look at the Phoenix light sighting from 1997. I disgree with a number of the conlusions reached in this new documentary but decided to post for debate and discussion over this most famous sighting.
It was one of the largest mass sightings in UFO history. In 1997, hundreds of people reported intensely bright balls of light forming a "V" shape in the sky over Nevada and Arizona. Some claimed to see an enormous, slow-moving aircraft. But what's behind the bizarre occurrence later nicknamed the "Phoenix Lights"? Join a team of rocket scientists, physicists and engineers as they use the latest in advanced technology to attempt to explain the mysterious sightings.

Completely laughable! Those are the stupidest scientists I've ever seen. How could you try to calculate the weight of something that you don't know what it's made of? Why would you try to calculate thrust using conventional means when it's obvious that this was no conventional craft! Crappy job, Nat Geo!

How is this biased or skeptical? Did you watch the whole thing, they came to the conclusion that the lights were an unknown, unexplainable with our current technology...

I saw the documentary on Oct 18, 2010. Apparently there are no known scientific explanation for the mass sighting of the Phoenix lights. What is surprising is the size and the appearance of the craft. The craft itself seems to have some connections, properties and characteristics of "wave" theory, and light, since it seemed to be moving "like a black & white wave" in the sky. Our scientists need to look for new elemental forms, such as Diamond, and forms of super high temperature/ high pressure isomers/crystals that have unique "light", UV and electromagnetic properties. Obviously aliens have "elements", and/or isomers that do/may not exist on earth. Recall that in many incidents, also, the lights generated by the UFOs shut down all our electronic systems. Personally, I believe we are not alone, and before the year 2050, we may meet a specie from another galaxy. When one contemplates "How a simple hummingbird flies backwards & forwards at incredible speeds, how an electric eel can generate 600 Volts, and fireflies can light up the sky, all from biological powers, it becomes easy to see that evolution may have taken a different routes, in different galaxies. We are not alone.

All the comments; Halleluiah! I couldn't have said better! I remember it being said, that the craft was slightly translucent!...The Penny
should have dropped,..right there!?
It was like trying to compare the horse & buggy technology, with today's lot. This was something from be beyond!...........

Not as biased as i expected from National Geo.. kind of surprising actually.. They seemed to leave the door open for the possibility of an ET explanation. One thing i thought they may have gotten wrong was the timing of the flares.. i have heard repeatedly from the ufological community that the flares were dropped about an hour and a half after the major sightings of the craft occurred. It seems that National Geo didn't account for that properly. Maybe that's where their "bias" came into play... i don't know. but overall I was impressed.
