It is extremely easy to see that these "lights" make no maneuvers at all and whenever you see the lights blur it is the camera moving not the objects ... get a pencil and put it on the screen on top of the trees and notice that the trees will move away from the pencil every time the lights blur.
I don't know how this wasn't plainly obvious to everyone the second people watched it. St. Katharinen is just north of Frankfurt Airport, Germany's busiest airport, it had 53,467,450 boardings in 2008 and these lights are clearly landing lights of these planes.

Why is it in slow-motion?
This is very similar to what I saw last night (27 Aug 2010) near Insch in Scotland. I have two still photographs of my own incident. The lights moved slowly, in approximately the same direction, and there were at least 15 of them over a ten minute or so period.
An identical incident was videoed by another observer some months ago, currently viewable at the following URL: http://video.stv.tv/bc/news-090511-l2-ufo/
This earlier incident was also in my part of Scotland; the young man who captured the footage was very sensible and reasonable in his view of the sighting.
