Their Chang'e 2 orbitor (part of phase one of their moon program) successfully took photos of the moons surface in the highest resolution ever recorded - see video below.
As millions across the country celebrate the Lantern Festival, which marks the lunar year's first full moon, China's space program is unveiling something even more impressive.
On Feb. 6th, it released the world's highest-resolution map, detailing the lunar surface, which was captured by the country's second lunar orbiter, the Chang'e-2.

what i hate about your site is when i went to the photos section [nice pics] but no info about where they were shot, state? country? etc.
