I saw the same thing in San Diego on Thursday, June 7, 2012 around 9:45pm.
I am the person who took this footage and I can assure you these were not lanterns. The area of the sky they were in, well if someone can hang lanterns 2 miles above a mountain range? Good on them. This is not the first time we have seen these lights, with the exception that they appear in different locations.
I just saw the same thing tonight 8/11/12 in point loma what are they??
