Yeah, it was people wanting to be seen, people wanting very desperately for everyone to look at the lights over Phoenix instead of the large delta wing craft flying just outside Phoenix. The lights over Phoenix were a distraction (in my opinion) for the actual "alien" craft. Stanton Friedman posed this theory on Larry King, and I think he was right.

Easy for people to blow it off as flares who didn't see the lights. I did, with my whole family, right over our heads. They were huge, like giant cylinders. And they definitely weren't flares or for that matter anything human made. They were AWESOME! If you're interested in the real details, get the documentary.
Matt, Are you on drugs? This is just the Dateline segment again. Or did I miss something?
