Discovery Shuttle's Final Journey - what will replace it?

On the back of a NASA 747 jumbo jet, the Shuttle Discovery today made its final flight, from Florida's Kennedy Space Center to Dulles International Airport to make final resting place at the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum. The question begging on everyone's mind is what will replace the shuttle? Has back engineering finally yielded some results? What craft will be used to make missing to the International Space station?

So Long!!........Thinking of those whom, lost their LIVES overall!?

BUT also of those whom,had brought a new frontier of knowledge & wonder, in the exploration of space

"IN THE GIANT STEP FOR MANKIND"

PS.
Why didn't we use the DISC Craft? :)...would have been safer.
