Obama makes disclosure a major priority for the US government
The culture of fear and secrecy is now long out of the window at the Whitehouse. President Obama is taking huge steps to make Ufo Disclosure and open goverment a major priority for his administration. A major culture change is now happening in the US government and Obama is enforcing that all agencies and levels of goverment adhere to the new laws of open goverment, and that all goverment staff members should no longer fear disclosing information:

President Obama's official memorandom on the Freedom of Information Act - Source -The Whitehouse:
Note: If you work for the US goverment or one its agencies please take care in reading the below presidential memorandum - it applies to you and your handling of FOI requests.
"A democracy requires accountability, and accountability requires transparency. As Justice Louis Brandeis wrote, "sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants." In our democracy, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), which encourages accountability through transparency, is the most prominent expression of a profound nationa l commitment to ensuring an open Government. At the heart of that commitment is the idea that accountability is in the interest of the Government and the citizenry alike.
The Freedom of Information Act should be administered with a clear presumption: In the face of doubt, openness prevails. The Government should not keep information confidential merely because public officials might be embarrassed by disclosure, because errors and failures might be revealed, or because of speculative or abstract fears. Nondisclosure should never be based on an effort to protect the personal interests of Government officials at the expense of those they are supposed to serve. In responding to requests under the FOIA, executive branch agencies (agencies) should act promptly and in a spirit of cooperation, recognizing that such agencies are servants of the public.
All agencies should adopt a presumption in favor of disclosure, in order to renew their commitment to the principles embodied in FOIA, and to usher in a new era of open Government. The presumption of disclosure should be applied to all decisions involving FOIA.
The presumption of disclosure also means that agencies should take affirmative steps to make information public. They should not wait for specific requests from the public. All agencies should use modern technology to inform citizens about what is known and done by their Government. Disclosure should be timely.
I direct the Attorney General to issue new guidelines governing the FOIA to the heads of executive departments and agencies, reaffirming the commitment to accountability and transparency, and to publish such guidelines in the Federal Register. In doing so, the Attorney General should review FOIA reports produced by the agencies under Executive Order 13392 of December 14, 2005. I also direct the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to update guidance to the agencies to increase and improve information dissemination to the public, including through the use of new technologies, and to publish such guidance in the Federal Register."

(i hope)
Great!
(Rick from Italy)
What's with the weak language?
He uses "should" where "shall", "will" and "must" would have made a better choice!
Sorrry dosnt include the pentagon!!!
We cannot be too quick to accept this people. Think of this like a magicians trick. He gets you to watch his hand doing all these fancy things, while his other hand is performing the trick.
Although he is doing this, I think that the dark files will still be kept in shadow, further in shadow.
I also believe this will begin MORE secrets.
Don't just accept Obama because of what people say.
My blog www.kindastrange.net talks more in depth about Obamas hidden agenda.
I'm sorry but...
YAWN!
If you continue to look up to the government for the solutions, consider yourself tricked!
This seems to be all hype drummed up by the poster of this site. No where in this post from obama does he write UFO. He's talking about disclosure in general, basically governments to not hold secrets anymore. Of course if the UFO files are released then that would be amazing. But until he actually says UFO files in any of his open government letters then this is all just to do with disclosure in general and not UFO's.
And can someone tell me has the million fax on Washington finished?
I heard it was just to be 40,000 letters so why is it called million fax?
How many faxes/letters were received do we know?
all sounds too good to be true, sorry to be skeptical here, its like the Danish releasing theirs and saying "there was nothing secret in it anyway" meaning they just released the non secret stuff
I never did see the word ufo mentioned the subject is very vague. Maybe President Obama is afraid to embarass himself to say disclosures of ufo's outloud. I will believe it when I hear it.
I hate to be a party pooper ... It's never going to happen...
Sorry guys but if all the previous presidents couldn't get the ufo files disclosed, neither will Pres.Obama...JFK tried disclosure and look at what happened to him...those guys at the 'black project' section of the DOD which is totally undercover even from the DOD aren't sharing with anyone...other wise they'd have to explain the 100 or more billion each year they use of the DOD's budget...
